Oh crap, I thought you said KINGDOM of monsters, not KING. :XD: So sorry about that. But even I myself aimed for such a goal; the only reason why I stopped were for two reasons.

1) Everyone would know the bloody plot. Don't do it word for word and scene for scene, the fanbase will be killing you for it.
2) Modern stuff just can't capture the original spirit of back in the day... But it could pull off being a fine work of its own.

Im combining both the original masterpiece and KOM, that way the story could be explained more instead of Steve Martin or in my film, Raymond Martin, narrating the whole thing.

Not unless I beat you to the punch first. ;) But in adapting KOM, that's a task right there. Because if you think about it this way: KOM is ongoing. So you will be stuck with adapting something forever until it dies off somehow. Really, when it comes to adapting, I'd so go with Gangsters and Goliaths or something like that.
